1. High Speed Internet - Wired is best!

We've had people attend the class all day on a wireless connection without any issues, and we had one person discover in the Demo Class that his wireless connection dropped him.

Our recommendation is that if you're set up for wireless,
please connect from your modem to your computer with an Ethernet cable. ( I bet you still have one! If not, they can be purchased at any office supply store.) 

To receive credit for this class the Kentucky Real Estate Commission requires that you are seen via web cam at all times.
If your wireless connection is dropped and we can't see you, then you do not receive credit for the class. 

If you have a satellite internet connection please check
to see if the company allows a connection with an https page.

2.  Web Cam

If you have a newer web cam, it will probably work!

Webcams can range from $20 to $300, so please consider
how you will use it after the class.

For Macs we recommend the Mac iSight

Other agents who have taken the class have found
that they use the web cam after the class to SKYPE
family and friends, as well as clients and customers.
So, consider that you in all probability you will use it
after the class!  Read a testimonial.

3. Headset
You may listen to this class from your computer speakers
or the built in microphone on your web cam.

Most people prefer a headset because of the quality of the audio.

Your headset should be a full duplex, USB headset with background noise reduction and echo cancellation is recommended. 

Headsets can be purchased at any office supply store such as
Office Depot, Staples, Best Buy or online at Amazon, My Simon,  etc.

Your headset should be COMFORTABLE!

The USB is recommended because it will have a standard audio driver across an operating system, ensuring consistent performance, regardless of the characteristics or drivers of the sound card, which may impact the perceived audio quality of an analog headset.

The following list of headsets, have been tested and are highly recommended. Prices reflect purchase price at that time through commonly found technology vendors on the internet.

3. Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 & above

Full duplex sound card
Speakers (headset recommended)
Microphone with noise cancelling
